The other reason that we headed into the city yesterday, as well as our transportation bonanza, was to see the Tall Ships that are docking in Toronto Harbour for a few days. These boats are amazing. Most of the ships are between 150 and 200 feet long, with wooden or steel helms. Although most of them had their sails tied, we had a chance to see one of the ships sail past us through the harbour, and it was breathtaking. Many of the boats were built in the early to mid 1900s, and to look at them really feels like going back in time. Last night as we tucked into bed, it was wonderful to talk and dream about all of the adventures that those ships have seen in their lifetimes....
